What is WEGA?
WEGA is a travel platform where you can discover and book unique trips created by local guides, travel agents, and bloggers. Our easy-to-use trip constructor lets Trip Makers design personalized experiences, so travelers can book them directly and enjoy grab-to-go audio guides with online navigation from point ot point.
How does the platform work?
Trip Makers create routes using our constructor, which includes ‘to-do’ lists like ‘Pack List’ and ‘Tips & Tricks’, a points map, a photo gallery, as well as detailed descriptions of each location on the route, accompanied by an audio guide with photo cards. Travelers choose a trip that suits them, purchase it, and can start their journey any day at any time — at this moment you’re a Time Lord! All saved, purchased, or completed trips will always be with you in the “My Trips” section.
Is it safe to use WEGA?
Yes, we use secure payment systems to protect your transactions. All Trip Makers are verified, and we offer support to ensure a smooth experience.
Do I need an account to use the platform?
Yes, you need an account to book trips or create them as a Trip Maker. It’s absolutely free. Sign up with your email, verify it with a code in a minute and start exploring!
Who can become a Trip Maker?
Anyone with travel expertise: guides, agents, bloggers or locals who know the most mysterious hidden corners of their places. Sign up and start sharing your world!
How much does it cost to list a trip?
Listing is free! We only charge a commission on each booking, deducted from your payout.
How do I get paid as a Trip Maker?
All our payments are transparent. After a traveler purchases your trip, we transfer your earnings (minus our commission and payment fees) to your bank account within 1–5 business days. Our commission is 15% of the trip’s price.
A payment processing fee is also applied.
What’s included in the trip price?
No hidden fees — just what’s shown at checkout. The price set by the Trip Maker typically includes their services (e.g., guiding, itinerary, knowledge) and VAT for EU citizens (% depends on your country).
Are there any extra costs besides the trip price?
You only pay the trip price upfront. Each trip includes an ‘in-trip costs’ section—an overview of estimated expenses you might encounter on your route, like museum tickets or café bills. These aren’t covered by our platform; they are up to you during the trip. Check the trip description for more details!
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you typically have 14 days to withdraw from online purchases and receive a full refund. However, this right does not apply once the online trip has started (when you click the “Start the Trip” button). For full details, see our Terms of Service.
